In their preparations for the July 29 Grade 2 Jim Dandy Stakes at Saratoga, both Derby winner Always Dreaming and Preakness winner Cloud Computing have been progressing well, reports drf.com. The Todd Pletcher-trained Always Dreaming covered five furlongs at Saratoga in 1:01.16, while Chad Brown trainee Cloud Computing worked a half-mile in :48.29 at Belmont Park.
“I thought he went great,” Pletcher said of Always Dreaming’s work. “He was nice and relaxed with a steady progression and good gallop out. He’s rounding back to top form, and we’re still on target for the Jim Dandy.”
“He worked a little fast last week, just did a little maintenance today, well within himself, looked good,” Brown said of Cloud Computing, who is scheduled to ship to Saratoga on Monday.
Other potential Jim Dandy starters include Lookin at Lee and Patch.
